Limited Warranty

Every Amorph piece is made to order by hand in Los Angeles from solid hardwood. This warranty sets out what we stand behind, what we do not, and how to reach us if something is wrong.

What is covered

Amorph warrants each piece to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for one year from the date of delivery. This warranty extends to the original purchaser and is not transferable.

What we will do

If a covered defect appears within the warranty period, we will repair the piece or, at our discretion, remake the affected component or replace the piece. Studio labour is covered. Freight, crating, site access and any installation work are quoted case by case and are not included.

What is not covered

Wood is a living material. Variation in colour, grain, figure and the small movement of solid timber with the seasons is the nature of the material and is not a defect. Colour will also mellow with light over time.

This warranty does not cover normal wear; marks, dents, scratches or rings from use; damage caused by direct sunlight, heat sources, air vents or humidity outside the range below; damage from accident, misuse, overloading, alteration, refinishing, or cleaning with unsuitable products; damage occurring in transit or during installation by others; outdoor use; or any material, stone, glass, metal or finish specified by the client against our recommendation.

Caring for your piece

Keep the piece out of direct sunlight and away from radiators, fireplaces and forced-air vents. Maintain relative humidity between roughly 35 and 55 percent; a humidifier in dry months and a dehumidifier in damp ones will keep solid wood stable. Dust with a soft dry cloth, and for marks use a cloth barely damp with water, dried immediately. Do not use ammonia, bleach, silicone polishes, or abrasive cleaners. Lift rather than drag, and use felt pads under objects placed on any surface.

Commissioned and custom work

Because each piece is made for a specific project, commissioned and custom orders are final. Drawings, dimensions, materials and finish samples are approved in writing before production begins, and the approved sample is the reference against which the finished piece is judged.

Making a claim

Write to info [at] a-morph [dot] com within 14 days of noticing the problem. Include your order details, the delivery date, a description of the issue, and clear photographs showing both the detail and the whole piece. We will tell you what we propose to do and arrange collection or a studio visit where needed.

Limits

This is the entire warranty offered by Amorph and it replaces all others, express or implied. Where the law permits, any implied warranty is limited to the duration of this warranty. Amorph is not liable for incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, a piece. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, or limits on how long an implied warranty lasts, so these limits may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights which vary from state to state.
